Make your way to the Pacific Northwest of America.

The Cascade Mountains run north to south just to the west of Bend, including the beautiful lava butte called Mt. Sunriver, Oregon, elevation 4,300 ft., is 15 miles south of Bend, and enjoys warm dry summers (80's) and cold, snowy winters.

Plan to arrive by air from Portland, with commuter service to Redmond, Oregon. (Sunriver also has a private airport.)

On the road, once you hit Highway 97, the turn off to Sunriver lies along a straight stretch of 2-way road with a flashing yellow beacon overhead. . .
